Environment Development

The following are the initial sketches and ideas for the environments the progress into further development and exploration.

Initial Concept

The initial idea was to have a mixture of run down buildings to go with the zombie apocalyptic theme. So we had a mixture of wooden and bricked buildings that were skteched and cnceptualized in perspective. We then came to realization that this theme to the buildings gave a very wild west, cowboy movie sort of film wchich is not what we want.

Second Conceptualization

We decided to reconceptualize the environment into something more whimsical that might fit the fact that we have a pigbat in our animation and so we started with silhouettes and worked our way into developing a few of them to see how they'd turn out.

Silhouette Development

We selected a few interesting silhouettes that we think might have potential and developed them further. We then conceptualized one of them into persepctive to see how would they look like in 3D space and whether the appeal would maintain as the sketch.

Diner Concept Mesh

This was the initial concept design for the diner that was rejected as the hand as a symbol didn't make sense for a diner. A brain burger would have been a better idea.
